Honda E Prototype Overview
The Honda e is an all-new 100% electric car inspired by the retro design of the first-generation Honda Civic. The result of this is a miniature marvel, with individuality, flair, handsome good looks and an interior evocative of a lounge with its luxury and technology. It really is beautiful. And underneath all that, the Honda e has a 50-50 weight distribution and rear-wheel drive, making it a proper driver’s car.
Choose from the Honda e or Honda e Advance. Both are 100% electric, powered by a battery and electric motor with 232 lb-ft of torque, although the Advance has more power with 154PS. Features like smart entry and start, adaptive cruise, lane keeping system, dual 12.3in touchscreens and the side camera mirror system are equipped as standard. Advance models add the Honda Parking Pilot and much more.
As Mason Cooley once said, art begins in imitation and ends in innovation. Never has this proven truer than with the Honda e. It’s a beautiful car, with retro good looks, pop-out door handles and a luxury interior with dual 12.3” touchscreens.
With a 136-mile WLTP range and the ability to rapid charge from <0 to 80% in 36 minutes using a 50kWh DC charging station, the Honda e is ready for an active lifestyle. It’s smooth, effortlessly fast and setup to handle. You’re going to love it.
It might be dinky, but the Honda e has space to spare. The 171-litre boot is big enough for your monthly grocery shop and the back row can easily accommodate three passengers or two ISOFIX child seats. All models have rear privacy glass.
Living with it
The Honda e is a pleasure to drive and it’s affordable to run. A full charge costs around £6 and you’ll easily see over 100-miles of range. The dual 12.3in touchscreens are fantastic and make up the world’s first full-width, digital dashboard.
